Affiliate Marketing is simply the art of selling products for a company. It's like being a Car Salesman who works on commission, except as a car salesman - you can't sell just any car (in most cases). You're stuck selling a specific brand (unless you're selling used cars).

As an Affiliate Marketer, you're given a special "link" (URL) that holds your unique "user identification" so that LeChat Nails can keep track of the sales you have referred to our site...

So, for instance, your Affiliate Link might look similar to: http://www.lechatsa.co.za/partner.php?target=profiles&mode=add&aff_id=115

Now I could explain what this link means - but that might be going too far off subject and it may only confuse you in the end. But notice the "id=115" ? That will be your "ID" (Affiliate Identification) and when a user clicks on this link - that number is given what's called a "click" to our database. Our database saves that click information and adds up each one.

So, the flow is something like this:

1. STEP 1 : Customer visits your website
2. STEP 2 : You refer the customer to our website
3. STEP 3 : Customer purchases a Product - You get commssion

The flow of our Affiliate program looks something like this :

Julie clicks the link -> the Website now inserts a cookie onto her Computer (your Affiliate ID is not saved for later use) -> Julie decides that she likes a certain product and makes a purchase -> Our Database saves the sale transaction and points your ID to the purchase receipt -> you have now made a sale.

Does this make sense? I hope so!

Let's go over some of the basics of Affiliate "numbers", to help you better understand what they mean.

• IMPRESSIONS = The number of times the link appeared on a page
• CLICKS = The number of times your link was actually clicked
• CTR = Click Thru Rate ... the number of times your link was clicked, divided by the number of Impressions.
• COMMISSION EARNINGS = This is the total amount of money you have made
• SALES = The number of sales you have made

We offer "PPC - Pay Per Click" commissions which pay you for each time someone clicks on a banner on your website. We also offer "PPI - Pay per Impression" commissions where we will pay you each time one of our banners displays on your website.

So, let's pretend that Julie purchased a R1000.00 product from the LeChat Website we pay you 10% of that sale... guess what? Julie's purchase just made you R100.00! Not bad

1. What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program allows you to earn a commission by referring potential customers to our web site. We offer a Sales Commission Rate of 10% for every product that you contribute to selling. 2. How does it work?
Firstly, you will need to sign up for an affiliate account with LeChatNails.co.za. Once you have done this you will be given a web site address that you must use when you refer your customers to our web site. When the customer follows this link an Internet cookie is created on their computer. This cookie contains information that identifies you as the affiliate. If the customer then decides to purchase any products on our website, their cookie is examined and you are credited with 10% of the sale.

The more visibility you give to these links, the better chance you have of earning commissions. With the unique code that we provide you, each time someone clicks on our banner or link at your site and establishes a link to our site, our computer identifies the visitor as YOUR customer and your account will automatically be credited R10.

5 - How Do I Get Paid?
If your accumulated commission is R200 or more, we will pay you monthly. Checks are sent out by the15th of the following month.

If your accumulated commissions are less than R200, your balance carries forward to the next pay period until you have accumulated commissions of R200 or more.

7 - Are there any conditions that I should be aware of?
Yes, there are. These items are covered in the agreement that you will have with LeChat Nails.

Please be aware of the following: We reserve the right to terminate your affiliate account for any reason. This is to protect us from troublesome affiliates. Spamming is not allowed. If you are caught sending unsolicited email we will terminate your account.

No commission will be paid if a sale is refunded. We accept the return of any product within 30 days of the purchase date. In the extreme circumstances that we must refund a purchase, no affiliate commission will be payable. We reserve the right to re-price or discount our software. While two or more affiliates refer the same person, the first affiliate to refer the customer will be credited with the sale.

Should we believe that there are "Illegitimate Clicks" on our Banners on your site, we reserve the right to terminate your account and all Commission within this account will be forfeited by the Affiliate. We are able to track "Illegitimate Clicks" via our software and this will not be tollerated.
